Working in Confined Spaces
This course will cover the legislation associated with working in confined spaces. What constitutes a confined space, the potential hazards, safe operating procedures, and emergency procedures and rescue.
Important note: This is an awareness course only, designed for people who need to be aware of the hazards and risks of confined space working but are not required to enter a confined space.
If you are required to perform any work activity in, or in the proximity of, a confined space then you will also need to have an 'approved' standard of practical training at the 'appropriate' level.
Duration: 30 mins

Who Should Take This Course?
This course is suitable for anyone whose work requires them to enter a confined space, including employees, managers, supervisors and rescuers. The course is designed as an introduction to working safely in confined spaces and so no pre-requisite training is needed.
A confined space is any area which is substantially enclosed and where there are risks to health and safety from hazardous substances or hazardous conditions. If you, or your employees, are required to work under such conditions then regular training is recommended.
This e-learning course provides awareness education. Depending on your company risk assessment, further training may be required to complete the all-round skills and knowledge to carry this forward practically in your organisation.
On successful completion of the course you will be able to download a quality assured certificate. This can be used to provide evidence for compliance and audit.
This course is also approved by IIRSM, the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management, as providing quality and content-approved training.
This certificate does not have an expiry date. However, based on industry best practice guidelines, the recommended renewal period for this training is 1 year. We will print this recommended renewal date on your certificate.
